Bio
Justin spent his first twelve years of practice primarily representing insurance companies in litigation. In 2020 he began representing people and businesses in disputes with insurers; Wallace Law was formed in 2022. Justin limits his work to people and businesses who aren’t getting what they deserve from their insurance company. Since 2008, Justin has been counsel of record in Wisconsin courts more than 400 times and in more than 40 appeals. Over 70% of his clients come as referrals from other lawyers and he was recognized by his peers as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in insurance litigation, an honor limited to fewer than 5% of the state’s attorneys.
Justin lives on a little lake in Manitowoc County with his girlfriend Susan, Liam, 6, and oversized Bernese Mountain Dogs Cal and Sam. Justin downhill skis like a twelve-year-old—in Idaho if possible—and scuba dives with the largest marine life he can chase down. He played over 2200 games of chess in 2022, owns a few rental properties, enjoys catching pike from his dock, and tries to be active and engaged with the world and his life as much as possible.
Justin takes his cases seriously and personally. He tries to look at solving the larger problems for the policyholder of which the litigation is only a part. He has experience with how insurance companies can view claims and how the process should work. Justin has appreciated the multiple prospective clients who advised that “a friend who works at an insurance company” secretly told them they needed to call Justin Wallace.
One of Justin’s goals in starting Wallace Law was to find and assist minorities who are mistreated by their insurance companies. We believe that, unfortunately, insurers can try to take advantage of non-native speakers. Wallace Law has native Spanish and Hmong speakers on our staff of three to be able to communicate directly with those communities to see if we can help them.
Justin doesn’t charge for consultations and doesn’t generally require up front retainers. If he can’t get you more than what the insurance company is offering you now, he doesn’t get paid. He looks forward to hearing about your case to see if we can help.
